Who can join WBN?

WBN is open to any business or professional woman who agrees to the principals of our mission statement. Members can work in the same type of career or business.



How much does membership cost?

Annual membership is $66.00 from July 1st through June 30th and is prorated monthly ($5.50 x number of months remaining through June).



Can I personally represent more than one business?

Yes, however each business must be registered separately. Dues are $66.00 per business.



Can any number of women join from the same company?

Yes. This is considered a corporate membership. Dues are $120.00.




How do I join?

The easiest way to join is to sign up online. Just fill out our online membership form and send in your check. You can also download our membership application in PDF format. Or, you can give us a call at 541-984-8778 and we'll send you an application.

Who runs WBN?

WBN is a nonprofit Sec. 501 (c) (6) organization. It's working Board of Directors holds the officer titles of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Director Chairs are Membership, Programs, Arrangements, Networking, Public Relations, Greeters, Events, Newsletter Editor and Website Editor. Current names, board positions and contact #'s are listed in your newsletter and on our board of directors page.



Can I come to a Board meeting?

Yes, members may. Currently, board meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month from 12 -1:30. Please refer to your newsletter or the our board of directors page.



How are the Board of Directors elected?

As defined by the Oregon Nonprofit Corporation act, an individual member represents one vote. We have nominations in October and hold an annual election in November. The term of office is for one year, beginning January 1.



When are the general meetings?

Normally the first Thursday of each month. There may be exceptions (usually in August and December) when we meet the second Thursday at The Eugene Hilton & Conference Center. Doors open at 11:45. Lunch is at 12:00. The meetings are adjourned at 1:30.



Can I come to meetings without being a member?

Yes. Currently your lunch meeting fee for non-members is $15.00.




Can I come to a meeting for a reduced fee if I choose not to eat lunch?

No. It is the same price whether you eat or not.




Can I prepay my luncheon meeting fees?

Yes. Members may purchase a six month punch card for $72.00. Just ask the treasurer when you check in at the pay station table.




Where do I park?

Parking is free in the underground Hilton parking lot. Entrances are located on Oak Street and 7th Street. If the lot is full, there is paid parking in the Overpark at the corner of 7th and Willamette across from the Hult Center.



Where can I put my business cards and promotional material I may have?

We have a networking table set up for members' use at every meeting. We have a card display that our networking chairperson keeps for you. (Please make sure to give her an ample supply). All other promotional material is your responsibility. Please do not put anything promotional on the luncheon tables. This is reserved for speakers only.




Do you have a directory?

Yes. New directories are printed and distributed in September. The website also has a business directory.



When will I receive The Network News Newsletter?

The last week of each month.



When is the deadline for The Network News Newsletter?

The 15th of each month. Members may submit announcements, articles, and kudos through our contact form or mail them to:

Do you sell or distribute the WBN mailing list?

No.



Can I mail, fax or e-mail WBN members as a group?

To protect the privacy of our members, please use the newsletter as your means of connecting with the group as a whole.



What is the Networking Basket?

To encourage getting to know new people and businesses, members who would like to connect with another member that month, put their business card in and takes one out. They agree to call and make a date to meet.



How do I get listed on the WBN website?

The website is updated every 4-6 weeks and you will automatically be added with the next update. If you do not want to be listed, please contact us.
