OLYMPIGS -- Kiss-a-Pig BBQ and Auction

Join us for a Fun and entertaining evening of your choice of ribs or chicken BBQ provided by the Original Roadhouse of Springfield along with a fabulous silent & oral auction to all to benefit The American Diabetes Association.
Tickets $30 adults
All takes place at the US SportsPlex in West Eugene.
We kiss the pig in honor of the pig for the discovery of insulin.

Senior Resource Fair

SPIN, Senior Professional Information Network of Lane County, will present their third annual Senior Resource Fair, “Enhancing Quality of Life,” on Saturday, July 17. The free event for seniors and their family members and friends is sponsored by Trillium Community Health Plan and will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Campbell Adult Center, 155 High St., in Eugene. It will feature demonstrations, entertainment, exhibits, prizes, a free “picnic in the park” provided by Farmington Square Senior Care Community for the first 300 attendees (bring your own blanket or lawn chair), and more! The emcees for the event will be Joseph Calbreath and Matt Templeman from KMTR. Featured entertainment will be: arts & crafts demonstrations, Annie O’Shay – Drumming Circle (11 a.m.), Old Time Fiddlers (12 p.m.), and Janet Hollander – Nia (1:00 p.m.). Exhibitors will include representatives from alternative medical care, care management, community based care, companion services, community support services, day and respite care, Diabetes education, end of life care, exercise, health care, home safety, in-home care, legal services, music, pet therapy, pharmacy and durable medical equipment providers, relocation services, senior driving, senior health and education, skin care for seniors, support groups, Veterans’ services, and others who focus on specialized services for seniors.
